We want to share a sneak peek into our relationship by visiting some of our favorite spots in the area. We will have transportation arranged for some parts of the weekend, but please know that Uber works as well in Mexico, so you may join our group or leave the group at any given time. Most Uber rides in Tijuana will cost between $5 and $10 USD. The only exceptions will be if you Uber all the way to the Wine Country (which will cost about $50 USD) or the Uber rides in San Diego (which will be $30 USD in average)
So here’s the plan:
Thursday October 8, 2020
We plan to meet at the Silver Fox “our bar” at noon. We will begin our celebration with a drink at this amazing bar before heading to Tijuana!
We will then Uber to the border and walk across to Mexico. It’s important to bring your passport or passport card to avoid any delays in the crossing. If for any reason you forget it, you will still make it across but they may keep you in secondary inspection for a while.
In Tijuana we will Uber to the Quartz Hotel where we will spend just one night.
Later, we will go to Downtown Tijuana where we will have lunch and visit around. We want to take you to experience the dog races (similar to horse races) at Caliente, the largest casino in the region.
At night, we will bar hop and see where the night takes us!
Most people in Tijuana speak English and it’s easy to travel around in Uber using the same app you already have. Local currency is pesos but US Dollars are accepted everywhere as well.
Friday October 9, 2020
We will have transportation set up to take us all together to visit Puerto Nuevo “Lobster town”. One of the traditional dishes of the region is boiled lobster, covered in butter and accompanied by flour tortillas, beans, and rice, a local delicacy!
Then, our transportation will take us all to Valle de Guadalupe in Ensenada, also known as “Valle: or “Wine country”. We will check in to our hotels and then head out to try some local wine and eat dinner.
Saturday 10.10.2020
The ceremony will take place at 12 noon at Luna del Valle. We will have a van that can take guests from your hotels to the wedding venue and back. We also tried to suggest a few places that are walking distance to the wedding venue, so you may come and go as you need. It’s important to mention that at the Wine Country, most roads are dirt road, so be ready to get your shoes a little dirty if you do decide to walk around.
Cocktail, lunch and party will be immediately after and will continue until midnight.
Sunday October 11,2020
Let’s alleviate our hangover by the pool, at the same venue as the wedding. We will have drinks and a food truck to serve everybody.
Monday October 12, 2020
We will head out again in transportation that we will have arranged for everyone around 11 am. It’s a 1 hr and 45 minute drive to the border and then crossing takes in average 1 hour, so plan your trips accordingly.
